[March 18, 2022 – Aurora, CO] — Friday night, two people were killed on East Colfax Avenue after being hit by vehicles.
Aurora Police Department (APD) said a pedestrian was crossing East Colfax Ave when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver immediately pulled over to help the injured man but after exiting his car, he was hit by another vehicle traveling westbound.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the second victim died at the hospital. Additional information about the victims has not yet been released.
Further investigation has shown that neither speeding nor alcohol seems to be contributing factors for either driver.
